3 INCHES OF BLOOD: Drummer's Broken Elbow Forces Concert Cancellations
November 12, 2007Canadian metallers 3 INCHES OF BLOOD are extremely disappointed to announce that they have been forced to cancel a number of shows after drummer Alexei Rodriguez broke his elbow over the weekend.
As well as the Minehead Hard Rock Hell festival in the UK, the shows affected are Swindon, Brighton, Barcelona, and Madrid. Refunds will be available at the point of purchase.
The band is currently rehearsing with a stand-in drummer to enable them to still play their London show tonight (Monday, November 12) at the Barfly.
Death Wish from Vampire Freaks conducted an interview with guitarist Shane Clark from 3 INCHES OF BLOOD on October 25, 2007 at The Fillmore in Denver, Colorado. They spoke about the group's recent tour with STATIC-X, DIVINE HERESY and SHADOWS FALL as well as what it was like working with Joey Jordison from SLIPKNOT on their latest release, "Fire Up The Blades". Watch the 15-minute interview below.
On October 9, 3 INCHES OF BLOOD released an exclusive digital-only three-song EP, "Trial of Champions". The EP features the title track, B-side "Key to Oblivion" and "In the Time of Job When Mannon Was a Yippie", a unique interpretation of the song originally performed by LUCIFER'S FRIEND. "Key to Oblivion" is a B-side track from the recording sessions for their recent Roadrunner Records full-length release, "Fire Up the Blades", produced by Joey Jordison (SLIPKNOT). The digital-only EP can be found via iTunes and other online outlets.
3 INCHES OF BLOOD will return to the U.S. on November 18 for a North American tour with GWAR. The tour will also include a hearty mix of eclectic acts such as HORSE THE BAND, THE END and MENSREA. Concluding on December 6, the quaint tour will stir up a much-needed dose of sanity for the holiday madness!
